Exciting day for PlayStation fans: Pre-orders for Sony’s highly anticipated next-gen console, the PS5 Pro, and the PlayStation 30th Year Anniversary themed special products have started today. However, things might not be easy for gamers, as stock has already run out on many sites.
You need to queue online to buy a PS5 Pro
Initially available exclusively through PlayStation Direct, the console’s pre-orders have attracted massive demand. Users entering Sony’s queue system overwhelmed the site once pre-orders opened. Experts recommend patience, as this pre-order wave may be the only opportunity for gamers to secure a PS5 Pro until October.
Despite its high price tag of $700/£700–€800, the PS5 Pro is expected to sell out quickly. The official release date is set for November 7, 2024.
The good news is that those who miss out on today’s pre-order wave will have another chance. A second wave of pre-orders is planned for October 10 through a broader range of retailers, giving more gamers the opportunity to grab the console.
According to Sony’s official statement, pre-orders have started today in the US and the UK. However, knowing how fast PlayStation hardware launches sell out, fans are advised to regularly check Sony’s official channels.
Lastly, Turkey is not among the countries where PS5 Pro pre-orders have opened, and the console’s price in Turkey remains uncertain.
